Mandurah’s Casey Mihovilovich will represent the South at the Women’s State Basketball League all-star game after winning the fan vote to play as a reserve.
Voting for the bench players opened to the public after the SBL named the starters earlier this month, with Mihovilovich the sole nominee from the Magic.
The veteran forward, who will now play in her seventh all-star game, topped the vote count with 358 votes, tying Willetton’s Kate Malpass.
Mihovilovich joins teammates Nici Gilday and Carly Boag, who were named as starters to the South’s line-up, along with head coach Randy Miegel who will lead the side.
It’s no surprise that Mihovilovich is once again one of the Magic’s top performers on the season.
She is averaging 15.9 points, 5.2 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game.
The SBL’s all-star game will raise funds for Lifeline WA and will be held at Bendat Basketball Centre on WA Day, June 5.
