After a bumper set of walks and talks to kick off the season, the Jarrahdale Historical Society will continue their season of educational and invigorating walks with one on Sunday May 28.
Even with the weather becoming cooler, Jarrahdale becomes an especially beautiful place to explore following rain.
The society’s theme for the upcoming walk is Timber Harvesting – Old and New, with an exploration into the history of Jarrahdale’s traditional core history featured along with the walk.
There are to walks available – the short walk is 90 minutes, while the long walk is closer to four hours.
Registration is from 8.30am at the Old Post Office Museum, 631 Jarrahdale Road. Attendees are asked to please arrive at 8.30 for the required registration.
The cost for each walk is $5, which goes directly towards the upkeep of the tracks.
Attendees are asked to bring along water, sturdy walking shoes, a hat, weather protection, insect repellent, a trail snack and a hiking snack.
Walkers with dogs are welcome on the short walk, please no dogs on the long walk.
