A Mandurah man appeared before the court on Tuesday to plead guilty to two charges of disorderly behavior.
The court heard that at 9.40pm on April 19, 2017, Daniel Joseph Jarvis was banging on the window of a 78-year-old-woman’s house in a Mandurah Terrace unit complex.
The woman called the police who arrived at 9.55pm.
Police prosecution said upon his arrest Jarvis was extremely intoxicated, and shouted and swore repeatedly, saying “I haven’t f***ing done anything,” and disturbing the neighbours.
They said he refused to calm down in the police vehicle, and continued to swear and yell in police lockup in Mandurah Station.
Jarvis said the 78-year-old woman was a stranger to him.
He said he had been going through a break-up and employment uncertainty at the time, and that alcohol had gotten the better of him.
“I’m extremely sorry and embarrassed,” he said.
The magistrate fined Jarvis $400 plus $98.50 in court costs, and granted him a spent conviction.
