This past August marked the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan, one of the deadliest battles involving Australian troops in the 20th century, which has come to be commemorated as Vietnam Veteran’s Day.
To mark this significant event the Mandurah Community Museum in conjunction with the Dawesville RSL will be holding an exhibition of uniforms, equipment and memorabilia from the Australian experience in Vietnam.
The exhibition runs from April 19 to 30 at the Mandurah Community Museum, on the intersection of Mandurah Terrace Pinjarra Road.
The museum is open Tuesday to Friday 10am-4pm and Saturday and Sunday, 11am to 3pm.
