Jason Webster presents his solo exhibition Inspire, now showing at Fairbridge Village’s Exeter Gallery.
Jason is a self-taught artist having discovered his talent for painting less than two years ago, specialising in acrylic on canvas but always exploring new mediums and techniques.
He started out painting a small landscape painting using watercolours on art paper and, after discovering he could paint, decided to paint a portrait of his father-in-law’s dogs for his birthday.
In 2016, after painting for just 12 months, he held his first solo art exhibition at Fairbridge titled Imagine, so named because most of his paintings, other than pet portraits, are created in his head.
Jason started exploring other techniques, using pallet knives to create amazing abstract paintings and recently entered the painting Our Rugged Coast into the Mandjar Art Awards.
Jason has been amazed by the support he has received worldwide from followers on social media, having inspired others to be creative.
Jason’s attitude has always been to ‘have a go’ rather than say ‘I can’t do that’.
Inspire is all about showing people they can achieve almost anything they want if they simply have a go.
The only limit is you, according to Jason: “Be positive, be creative, be amazed and be inspired”.
