Relive the disco fever era with ABBAlicious, Australia's ultimate ABBA tribute band, when they hit The Cut Golf Course on Saturday May 6
From 1972 to 1982 ABBA dominated music charts and dance floors around the word.
The band made their breakthrough when they won the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest with their ever popular Waterloo.
From there, their success was secure; Waterloo went on to chart in many European countries, foreshadowing their massive European tour.
Australia was one of the first success stories for ABBA. While still finding their feet in Europe – their first tour failed to meet the sell-out standards future tours did – songs like SOS and Mamma Mia rocketed up the Australian charts, ensuring a national tour was not far around the corner.
The hits just kept on coming with Fernando, Waterloo, Gimme Gimme, Ring Ring, Dancing Queen and many more.
Putting on one of the best tribute shows available, ABBAlicious will belt through the group’s back cataolgue with aplomb.
They’ll also be joined by upbeat, crowd-grabbing five-piece Joi Ride.
Joi Ride not only play the greatest hits but also play the latest hits.
The band is part of the Perth corporate music scene featuring members from ABBAlicious and Sweetwood – Perth’s brilliant Fleetwood Mac tribute band.
Having formed in 2014 the band’s popularity has spread like wildfire. With bookends like ABBA and Fleetwood Mac, the show is sure to be an exciting journey through the great pop music of the 20th century.
So put on your flairs and high heels and take a magical mystery tour back to the 70's with ABBAlicious.
