The Brisbane market for houses is predicted to do well this year, despite forecasts of doom and gloom in the apartment market. Some suburbs has seen sellers take advantage of increased demand to nab a snappy sale or a price above median.
Domain Group data showed in February, the two suburbs with the shortest average time on the market were Mount Gravatt and Stafford - two postcodes with similar characteristics.
"These are hot suburbs, there's no surprises they're walking out the door," Domain Group chief economist Andrew Wilson said. "They've been hot areas for a few years now."
