The Shire of Murray is looking for residents across the region who selflessly give up their time to assist the local community for this year’s Volunteer Awards.
Local clubs, organisations and charities are now able to nominate their best volunteers in three categories: Young Volunteer of the Year – 25 and under, Volunteer of the Year – 25 and over, and Sport and Recreation Volunteer of the Year.
“The Shire of Murray is fortunate to have many volunteers throughout the community who give tirelessly to their local group or club,” Shire of Murray president Maree Reid said.
“During the awards ceremony, in recognition of invaluable contribution to the Murray community, certificates of appreciation will be awarded to longstanding volunteers within community organisations who in 2017 will realise 10 and 20 year milestones.”
The 2017 Volunteer Awards are part of the Shire’s Annual Volunteer Sundowner and Awards evening held in May each year during National Volunteer Week.
