Mandurah MP David Templeman secured his fifth term in office representing the seat of Mandurah on Saturday night surrounded by Labor candidates Robyn Clarke and Adam Woodage.
Mr Templeman beat last-minute Liberal candidate Lynne Rowlands with 72.9 per cent of the votes.
In his celebration speech, Mr Templeman thanked local volunteers and family members.
He also highlighted the Peel region’s electoral swings in favour of WA’s Labor party, and Labor’s commitment to putting WA’s jobs first.
Mr Templeman transformed the seat, which had previously been held by Liberal Roger Nicholls, into safe Labor territory in 2001.
