A bushfire advice has been issued for people south of Pinjarra-Williams Road in Inglehope, near Dwellingup.
The fire, which started at the intersection of Pinjarra-Williams Road and Murray Road, is believed to be deliberately lit and it
The bushfire is moving fast in a westerly direction, and it is currently out of control and uncontained.
15 Department of Parks and Wildlife (DPAW) firefighters are on the scene and air support has been called for assistance.
There is currently no threat to lives or homes.
Although there is no immediate danger you need to be aware and keep up to date in case the situation changes.
Residents are advised to:
- Stay alert and monitor your surroundings.
- Watch for signs of a bushfire, especially smoke and flames.
- Close all doors and windows, and turn off evaporative air conditioners but keep water running through the system if possible.
- Read through your bushfire survival plan.
- If you do not have a plan decide what you will do if the situation gets worse.
Pinjarra-Williams Road is closed west of Murray Road and east of Nanga Road.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area, reduce speed and drive carefully due to smoke.
If you are driving in the area turn headlights on, drive slowly, and follow the directions of emergency services crews.
