This month’s concert at the Leslie Street Centre was another big success, with plenty of attendees enjoying the mid-week tunes.
Mandurah’s much-loved all-female choir, Voices in Harmony, performed on the day, bringing along with them a selection of classic songs.
Members of Mandurah and Rockingham Silver Chains enjoyed lunch with McNamara Lodge residents beforehand.
“We had a full house,” coordinator Vee Storm said.
“Voices in Harmony performed a wonderful show and we hope to have them back in the future.
The concert series continues with Paul Ewing stopping by on March 15.
Ewing, a former member of much-loved Perth variety act The Troupadores, will entertain the audience with a selection of classic 60’s and 70’s tunes, as well as most likely roll out a few laughs.
He has worked across Western Australia for many years and is proving very popular within the Peel region since moving here.
Following on from that, international duo Heart and Soul will perform music and comedy on April 19.
Kellie Green and Peter Harries then stop by on July 20.
Harries describes himself as “an entertainment host, poet, musician and raconteur”.
He is a well-known Perth celebrity, having spent many years in the TV and entertainment industries, among many others ventures.
The Leslie Street Centre has more great performances throughout the year. For more information and tickets, contact Vee Storm on 0401 832 195 or go to lesliestreetcentre.com.au.
