Peel cyclists push pedal power for Bike Week

The Peel Trails Group are encouraging the community to get on their bikes for the region’s Cycle Instead ‘Bike Week Bonanza’, which will roll from March 10-26.

Bike Week offers locals an opportunity to take in the natural beauty of the Peel region, and utilize the comprehensive network of cycle paths and trails.

Mandurah’s Bikeman will be hosting a casual family ride on the Erskine Nature Trail on Sunday, March 12, and local cycle clubs and groups are hosting social group rides in a range of Mandurah and Murray localities on March 20-22.

For those interested in riding a purpose-built cycle trail in the Dwellingup bush, Dwellingup Adventures is hosting a Munda Biddi Explorer self-guided mountain bike ride on Saturday, March 18.

All rides are free and there is something to suit new and experienced cyclists and participants of all ages and fitness levels.

There are lots of other free fun cycle events on offer including pedal power movie nights, skills training and coaching sessions, bike maintenance workshops and have-a-try events.
