16-year-old charged with firearm, theft offences

A 16-year-old boy has been charged with several firearm and theft offences after an investigation into several burglaries in East Victoria Park, Serpentine and Oakford during December 2016 and January 2017.

Armadale and Rockingham detectives executed a search warrant at a home in Brown Crescent Seville Grove on Sunday 29 January 2017 where they seized six stolen rifles.

The 16-year-old boy from Rockingham has been charged as a result of the search warrant and other burglary and stealing offences across the suburbs of Roleystone, Lesmurdie, Oakford, Byford, Karragullen, Seville Grove and Rockingham.

He has been charged with six counts of stealing, five counts of stealing motor vehicle, two counts of home burglary, one count of aggravated home burglary and one count of aggravated burglary.

He is due to appear before the Perth Children’s Court on Feburary 9.
