Multiple emergency crews responded to a significant fire near the intersection of Thisbe Drive and Estuary Road on Tuesday morning, with the blaze breaking out at around 9.15am.
A bushfire advice was issued for people in the northern part of Dawesville.
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services advised there was no threat to lives or homes, but there was a lot of smoke in the area.
“Although there is no immediate danger you need to be aware and keep up to date in case the situation changes,” the alert read.
A number of roads have been closed including Thisbe Drive and Estuary Road.
People are asked to avoid the area and be aware of fire and emergency services personnel working on the site.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area, reduce speed and drive carefully due to smoke.
