Michael John Cardosa appeared via video from Hakea Prison to plead guilty to possession of unlawfully obtained property.
The charge related to a May 15, 2016 offence which saw police search a vehicle in Halls Head and uncover $6645 in Cardosa’s possession.
The cash was suspected to have been obtained unlawfully.
Cardosa, who is not due for release until August next year, will serve the additional term concurrently.
