What happened in July
FOOTBALL: A piece of Peel Football League history was on show in the South West Football League when the Harvey Bulls celebrated their 20th anniversary of their 1996 PFL premiership win.
TENNIS: Former top-ten world tennis star Lesley Hunt chatted to the Mandurah Mail about coaching juniors in the Peel region.
FOOTBALL: The Peel Football League made history with its first ever division one win at the Landmark Country Football Championships.
FOOTBALL: Chad Wrigley was a highlight for the Peel Cavaliers colts side at the Landmark carnival, taking out MVP honours for the division.
BASKETBALL: The Mandurah Magic men’s side felt the bite of the injury bug which saw them slip to last on the ladder.
FOOTBALL: Five Peel Football League players were selected to play for WA after impressive displays at the Landmark carnival.
BASKETBALL: Casey Mihovilovich moved into second all-time on the games played list for the Women’s State Basketball League.
FOOTBALL: Peel Thunder hit the road for one of the WAFL’s regional showcase matches in Cunderdin where they toppled the Perth Demons.
