Each year the Murray Music and Drama Club honour one club member with their Patron’s Award, awarded for service to the club which goes above and beyond the call of duty, over an extended period of time.

The 2016 recipient is Andy Peckover, who since joining the club twelve years ago, has slowly and surely developed into the club’s main “fix-it” man.

Andy is always first on the scene and last to leave at busy bees, despite juggling a hectic cricketing schedule, and has spent so much time up ladders with stage curtaining and lighting, that many people are more familiar with his feet than his face.

He is never too busy to run around finding equipment from far flung suburbs, and has assisted the club in solving many of its storage issues.

The committee was pleased to be able to recognise Andy for his valued assistance at the presentations for their recent show Peter Pan.
