Peel Junior Cricket Association round seven wrap-up

White Knights Baldivis defeated Secret Harbour Dockers Purple at Rhonda Scarott Reserve in the under 13s competition.

Secret Harbour batted first and were bowled out for 78 with Jai Prince, Rhyley Lewis and Sunny James all top scoring with 11.

Jordan Crudeli, Brayden Haskell and Jake Farmer were the best of the Baldivis bowlers, each taking two wickets.

In reply to Secret Harbour’s 78, Baldivis scored 4/197 with Crudeli top scoring with 32 not out supported by Jackson Klepzig with 24 not out.

Connor Styles and Kai Bartusch were the best of Secret Harbour’s bowlers taking 1/5 and 1/13 respectively.

Meanwhile in the under 14s competition, South Mandurah defeated Warnbro Swans at Peel Turf.

Warnbro batted first and scored 9/72 with Kieren Clarke top scoring with an unbeaten 17. 

Aiden Milner was the best of South Mandurah’s bowlers taking an impressive 4/9, supported well by Matthew Boyd (3/12).

South Mandurah responded by scoring 4/155 from 30 overs with Matthew Leddin top scoring with 22* followed by Corey Cashell-Tregenza with 20.

Sunday morning saw Kwinana defeat Mandurah at Meadow Springs Turf.

Kwinana batted first and scored 8/140 from 30 overs with Kim Kothstein top scoring again for Kwinana with 35* from 34 balls, while Connor Kilgallon also made a handy 29*.

In reply, Mandurah scored 7/122 from their 30 overs thanks to some tight bowling from Kwinana with Kilgallon taking 3/12 and Ali Gharibyar taking 2/1 from just a single over.

Finally, in the under 17s, White Knights Baldivis continued their good form defeating Halls Head at Peel Turf.

Halls Head batted first and were bowled out for 115 from 30.4 overs.

Jordan Hodgetts and Beck Bertoncin were the best of Baldivis’ bowlers taking 3/7 and 2/2 respectively.

In reply, White Knights Baldivis were bowled out for 184 with Mitchell Steele, Ben Merrifield and Ryan O’Keeffe all scoring 37.
