Paul the octopus and Pierre the cockerel have picked the soccer results, but could there be a quokka that predicts the result of the 2016 Melbourne Cup?
Mumble – a six-year-old quokka from Peel Zoo – has tried his hand at it, taking his pick from the 27 horses taking part in Tuesday’s race that stops that nation.

The four-year-old bay horse is yet to have a win under his saddle, so will the Melbourne Cup be the first?
Only time will tell.
