Emergency crews have extinguished a scrub fire on a vacant lot close to the site of Cash Converters, which was destroyed by fire in September.
Firefighters were called to the scene on Parkview Street about 1.30pm on Thursday and had the blaze under control within 10 minutes of arriving.
Witnesses at the scene said the fire was deliberately lit.
Police are investigating.
