Mandurah detectives have charged a 28-year-old man as a result of an investigation into an incident in Booragoon on Tuesday, October 25.
About 10am, a vehicle was travelling east along the centre lane on Leach Highway being driven by a 35-year-old man and with a four-year-old female passenger, (father and daughter).
It will be alleged the man sounded his horn at the driver of a utility that was moving from the left hand lane into the centre lane across the man’s path. The driver of the utility stopped his vehicle in the centre lane, causing the man to stop as well.
The driver of the utility got out of the vehicle and banged on the driver’s window and the window next to the child. He then punched the man to the head through the open window driver’s window before returning to his vehicle and driving off.
A 28-year-old man of Halls Head has been charged with aggravated assault and is due to appear before the Fremantle Magistrates Court on November 22.
