South Halls Head Primary School showed off its girls rugby talent by taking out a win in the regional rugby league tackle competition held at Bortolo Reserve last Friday.
The girls were dominant throughout the day-long contest, blitzing the opposition in their six games and taking out a win in the final against fellow Mandurah school Meadow Springs Primary five tries to two.
The win sees the girls through to the state finals, with coach Andrew Tarrant confident they can take home another victory.
“The whole squad contributed and we will be tough to beat in the state finals coming up. Defence wins the chocolates and the girls only gave up a few tries,” he said.
