Mandurah parents and community will get to have their say on the structure of John Tonkin College in an online survey that opened today.
The school currently operates on two sites, with years 7-9 on the Tindale campus and years 10-12 on the Mandurah Education and Training campus, alongside the John Tonkin Education Support Centre, South Metro TAFE and Murdoch University.
Education minister Peter Collier urged parents to complete the survey, which looks at whether the two-site system is operating optimally.
"I would like to know from the community whether the current structure is helping their children reach their goals, or if they think the college should be located on one site," Mr Collier said.
"I know parents are very passionate about their children getting the best education.”
Mr Collier said if any parents or members of the community did not have access to the internet, they could contact John Tonkin College to complete the survey there.
The survey will close on October 28 and findings will be released to the community by the end of the school year.
It does not refer to the John Tonkin Education Support Centre.
