Tourism operators across the Peel region will have a unique opportunity to come together on and explore potential tourism opportunities within the region during Mandurah’s Tourism Forum on October 19.
The event has been organised by Tourism WA and regional tourism organisation Experience Perth, and hopes to shed some light on how they operate throughout the sate.
Tourism WA acting chief Gwyn Dolphin said the forum was part of a series of events held across WA.
And hoped to shed some light about Tourism WA’s link to regional tourism organisations like Experience Perth.
“Research carried out by Tourism WA in 2014 found many in the tourism industry didn’t understand the link between the regional tourism organisation and Tourism WA, or what role each played,” Mr Dolphin said.
“One of the aims of the forums is to rectify this, and also explain how we work with other partners such as Tourism Council WA.
“The forums also offer members of the local tourism industry the opportunity to get to know individual Tourism WA and, in this case, Experience Perth team members.”
Attendees to the forum will be able to enjoy a range of presentations, panels and discussions, covering topics such as tourism research and data in Peel, how to link to Tourism WA and Experience Perth’s marketing programs, and Tourism WA’s digital strategy.
