September has seen one of the coldest starts to spring on record, with temperatures reaching more than 2 degrees below the September average in some areas.
After a warmer start to the season, the Bureau of Meteorology have forecast up to 10mm of rain today, with showers continuing into next week.
Maximum temperatures in Mandurah will stay around the 17 degrees level, hitting 15 degrees on Monday. The maximum temperature average for September is 20.4 degrees.
Minimum temperatures will stay at about 8 degrees through to next week.
There are also strong wind warnings for coastal and offshore areas from Lancelin to Bunbury.
