It looked like it was season over for Waroona at half time of their preliminary final clash with Halls Head, but the Demons found a way to will themselves to a win and book their ticket to the grand final.
Trailing by 29 points at the half time break, Waroona sprang to life in the second half to claim a three-point, comeback victory.
The game opened as a thriller, with Waroona leading by the slimmest of margins, a single point, at quarter time.
But Halls Head showed sheer dominance in the second quarter, piling on nine goals and jumping out to a 29-point lead at the main break.
A failure to keep their intensity going saw Waroona hit back and trim the lead to just nine points by the final break.
A fiery tussle, much like the first quarter, ensued after the three-quarter-time break with Waroona managing to sneak by Halls Head with a 14.8 (92) to 14.5 (89) win.
The Demons will now prepare to redeem their 2015 grand final loss when they take on the Baldivis Brumbies in the 2016 grand final this Sunday.
