Pinjarra Senior High School year 12 student Bree Passmore is now ready and excited to make the most out of life’s challenges.
Bree recently attended the Magic Moments Youth Leadership and Business Summit in Sydney, where she learnt that anything in life is possible if you set your mind to it.
Thanks to a fully funded scholarship from Pinjarra Community Bank Branch, Bree was selected to attend the summit during her school holidays.
Bree said attending the summit had changed her whole perspective on life and given her the drive to work even harder during the last few months of year 12.
“There are so many things I want to do when I finish school, and now I know that I can really do them all,” she said.
“I am also taking every opportunity that comes my way.
“In the past I wouldn’t have considered trying new things or challenging myself but now I consider everything, because you never know what is going is happen.”
Pinjarra Community Bank branch manager Donna Bamkin said it was wonderful to be able to give Bree the opportunity.
“The program allows the students to grow and develop new skills in a safe and supportive environment, as well as develop new friendships from around the world,” she said.
“We were so happy we could do this; we hope to be able to send more students next year.
“We also want to thank all our customers for allowing us to support important youth initiatives like this one, as it is the profits from their banking business that we are able to reinvest into the community.”
Bree said she was so inspired by the Youth Leadership Summit that she was already planning on going back in 2017 as part of the graduate program to lead and mentor the first year students.
