Shire of Murray ratepayers who pay their full rates before September 23 will have the opportunity to enter in a draw to win more than $2,900 worth of prizes.
The initiative is part of the Shire’s Rate Incentive Scheme, which relies on the support of local businesses.
The first prize available to punctual ratepayers is two six-month gold memberships to the Murray Leisure Centre, valued at $940.
Other prizes include a three-day ticket for the 2017 Fairbridge Festival, a deluxe weekend stay at Perth’s Ambassador Hotel, a Ravenswood Hotel gift card, a double pass to see the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, 12 bottles of assorted wines from Newbliss Winery, and a Pinjarra Golf Club Friday Golf and Meal Deal.
Murray’s residents will also have the opportunity to get their rates back up to $1,000.
Shire President Maree Reid encouraged residents to pay their full rates and take part in the competition.
“I encourage rate payers to support the Rates Incentive Scheme and secure their entry by paying their rates in full before 23 September, 2016,” she said.
“Timely rate payments enable a smoother funding process for projects and allow the Shire to continue strengthening infrastructure and planning for the future of our beautiful district.”
To participate in the draw, Murray ratepayers can get entry forms for the competition from the Shire of Murray Administration Office in Pinjarra or online at the Shire’s website www.murray.wa.gov.au.
Alternatively, forms can be found at the Pinjarra Junction Shopping Centre.
