A Mandurah man who told the court his music career was about to take off was placed on a nine-month community based order after pleading guilty to assault causing bodily harm.
Tyronne David Feuerreiter, 26, faced Mandurah Magistrates Court on Tuesday in relation to the assault which happened in Dudley Park on April 10.
The court heard Feuerreiter had been singing and dancing at a park in Soldiers Cove about 5.15pm when he became verbally abusive to a man walking his dog.
He then sprayed deodorant into the face of the victim and bit the man’s ankle.
“I’m an entertainer,” Feuerreiter said.
“I wasn’t disturbing anyone.”
Feuerreiter said he had mental health issues and had been taken off his medication.
He had also been drinking heavily that day.
Despite his health issues, Feuerreiter returned a positive pre-sentence opportunity program report.
He was hesitant though to accept the community based order.
“I don’t think I have the time to take away from my music career,” he said.
“I would like to be over and done with it.”
Told his only other sentencing option was imprisonment, Feuerreiter accepted the order, which will include alcohol counselling.
The magistrate wished him luck and said he could apply to change the order if his career took off.
