Some Mandurah locals were left wondering if a tornado was heading for town when a giant waterspout appeared off Dawesville on Saturday afternoon.
The impressive weather phenomena lack the destructive power of their land-based cousins, but still put on a remarkable show.
The waterspout appeared about 4pm caused by unusual cloud formations and was gone soon after.
Weather forecasters are predicting a maximum of 16 degrees for Sunday, with the chance of a thunderstorm, gusty winds and hail this evening
