Secret Harbour Primary School has developed a rare case of Bieber Fever in its fundraising this year.
The school’s Parents and Community group started playing Baby, Baby by the ever-polarising Justin Bieber during breaks from Monday.
“I run the dance group at the school, and I know form the kids that it’s generally a love/hate relationship on Justin Bieber,” P&C president Emma Pearman said.
“So based on that, we decided Baby, Baby was the way to go. Because we could be sure it would at least get everyone talking.”
That, it did. With $1000 as the goal, the school hit $1,200 by Tuesday lunchtime.
“The student’s have gotten right behind it: ‘Stop the Bieber’ has become a bit of a catch phrase,” Ms Pearman said.
“We probably should have set the limit higher.”
