The Peel Netball League regular season wrapped up over the weekend with the undefeated Rockingham Rams now heading into the league finals as favourites.
The Rams finished the season atop the ladder with an unbeaten 14 wins on the season, with South Mandurah, Pinjarra and Waroona the other teams to make the top four.
Centrals, Baldivis, Halls Head and Mandurah rounded out the rest of the order.
Rockingham’s Daviniss Rere had an outstanding season, taking out the league’s leading goal-scorer with an enormous 473 goals.
In the reserves, South Mandurah dominated to also finish the season with an unblemished 14-win record.
Other sides to make the reserves final four were Rockingham, Halls Head and Waroona.
Pinjarra, Mandurah, Centrals and Baldivis made up the remainder.
Jiah Thomas from South Mandurah led the reserves goal-scoring with 410 goals.
A post on the Peel Football and Netball League’s Facebook page said the season had been a huge one for Peel netball.
“It has been an exceptional year with the improvement in players and teams exceeding expectations and we can only hope the competition continues to grow from strength to strength,” the post read.
“A huge and sincere thanks to all those that gave their time so willingly throughout the season … our umpires, team managers, coaches, scorers and supporters. You have all been a very crucial part to the success of the PNL.”
