Mandurah Detectives have charged an 18-year-old Singleton man over an altercation in which a 19-year-old was knifed in Halls Head on July 23.
Police will be alleged the 18-year-old man was walking along Daydream Plaza with a group of people, when rocks and stones were thrown, damaging parked vehicles.
A group of people emerged from the house armed with bottles, and an altercation occurred between the victim and offender.
During the altercation, the 19-year-old victim received a stab wound to his abdomen and a large laceration to his face.
He was taken to RPH with serious injuries and underwent emergency surgery.
On July 27, police executed a search warrant at a Singleton address and located the large knife hidden in a bin.
An 18-year-old man was arrested at the address and has been charged with grievous bodily harm and being armed in a way that may cause fear.
He will appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on Thursday morning.
