Peel Thunderbirds youth girls trio Sarah Verrier, Tanisha Anderson and Jackie Atkinson are helping WA’s under 15s women’s football team dominate the national championships.
The side has three wins from its first three games and has not allowed an opposing side a higher score than 14 points.
New South Wales notched that top score against WA on day one, and since then a side has failed kick more than one goal a game against the black and gold.

Following a one-day break on Tuesday, the side returned to the field on Wednesday to dominate South Australia 7.6 (48) to 1.1 (7).
Two games remain on the team’s fixture, as they face Queensland One again on Thursday before taking on Victoria on Friday.
All three Thunderbirds players have impressed in the tournament, particularly Anderson, who managed a goal on national level.
The trio was selected after a number of tryouts and training sessions, with Verrier named captain of the team.
Peel Thunderbirds youth girls coach Justin Hocking had nothing but praise for the players, saying all three had shone for his team in 2016 season.
“The girls have all worked extremely hard for our side this season – they’ve been great leaders on the field and hold themselves well,” he said.
“It’s a very proud time for the club to have three of its younger players representing the state.”
The Thunderbirds youth girls will resume their regular season on Sunday, July 31 with a clash against Coastal Titans at Bendigo Bank Stadium.
