August is national family history month.
To celebrate, Mandurah Family History Society is holding an open day on Friday, August 12.
Have you ever wanted to explore your family tree?
Have you ever wondered how Who Do You Think You Are finds ancestors?
The Mandurah Family History Society has extensive resources to help people trace their ancestry and discover their family tree.
Guests are asked to bring details of one or more of their ancestors so society members can demonstrate how to search for forebears.
The open day will run from 9.30am-2.30pm in the research rooms at the Mandurah Library precinct.
Everyone is welcome to attend and start exploring their heritage.
The Mandurah Family History Society meets regularly to discuss all things ancestry.
Speak to members at the open day about getting involved.
Who knows what may be found out about your ancestors?
