Photography, digital drawing, video and music production are all within a hand’s reach for Mandurah’s youth.
The City of Mandurah has created a new initiative called AV Club to help and assist 15 to 25-year-olds in creating their own multimedia projects.
The program is part of the City’s Youth Strategy 2014-2018, which tries to involve young people within the community and encourages them to express their creative talents.
From July 21, young people will be able to drop by the club, located at Falcon eLibrary’s FabLab, and enjoy creating their own audiovisual and multimedia projects at no cost.
City of Mandurah Deputy Mayor Darren Lee celebrated the initiative and encouraged young people to get involved in the project.
“With a generation of more tech-savy than ever, it’s great to be able to provide opportunities for our young people to build their skills and interest in the area,” he said.
The club will be held on Thursdays from 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm.
