Saturday afternoon saw the the Peel District Cycling Club race on the Serpentine circuit in sunny conditions with enough of a southerly wind to break up all grades except E-grade, which saw Callum Milne attack on the penultimate lap to take victory from Joshua Trine.
The split in D-grade happened on the second lap, a couple of laps later the leading group split again, with individual riders spread across the course.
Joshua Howe took the win, with Colin Day second and Clinton Hort third.
C-grade split on the first lap, with two groups forming.
The unrelenting pace of the front group saw riders dropped from it, ending up in the second group.
Even with the reinforcements the second group lost time every lap.
From the reduced bunch sprint it was Oliver Bleddyn first, Toby Dew second and Peter Neuzerling third.
B-grade saw a number of attacks, then the bunch split in two on the third lap, and the front group rode away.
It was Michael Jensen first, Ben Konigsdorfer second and Craig James third as they sprinted to the line.
There was attack, breakaway, a break chased down and a counter attack in A-grade all up until the sixth lap, when a break of seven riders formed which stayed away for the final two laps to fight out the finish.
It was Matt Peterson first for the second time in as many weeks, with Hayden Turton second and Jesse Fergie third.
Sunday morning saw the West Coast Masters race on the Dog Hill circuit in Baldivis and a few riders back up from Saturday.
E-grade broke apart on the course and it was a three-rider bunch contesting the finish with Jon Kelly first, Edward Rose second and Tony Clews third.
After a couple of early attacks, D-grade held together for the remaining five laps.
In the bunch sprint, it was Rod Atkinson first, Richard Stokes second and Russell Kingham third.
C-grade was similar, with early attacks being chased down.
The bunch stayed together and in the sprint it was Greg Smith first, Paul Chartres second and Lain Dow-Vine third.
The B-grade race was neutralised as riders were reminded they were on rural roads with a tractor halting momentum on the final lap.
A-grade saw an equally aggressive race, with breakaways being chased down.
Fortunately no tractors were involved in the bunch sprint with Norm Shattock first, Bernie Swart second and Andrew Brierley third.
