A section of the eastern foreshore boardwalk, the pathway under the bridge and the stair access to the bridge will be closed permanently to prepare for the boardwalk removal on Monday next week.
The closed section will include the whole of the eastern under-path of the bridge and will run along the eastern foreshore up to Tuckey House.
Until the replacement project is completed pedestrians won’t be able to use the eastern path underneath the bridge.
An alternative path detour will be facilitated through Mandurah terrace and Pinjarra road for both pedestrians and cyclists.
Another section in the south end of the bridge will also be closed for several weeks starting from early June.
A footpath detour will be available for that purpose early next month.
