The traffic lights at the busy intersection of Old Coast Road and Old Coast Road in Halls Head got the green light on Thursday.
The City of Mandurah, together with Main Roads WA, conducted extensive road works in the intersection, which included traffic signals and landscaping.
The City’s chief Mark Newman said the upgrade will facilitate traffic flow and ensure greater safety.
“The works are part of the City’s ongoing commitment to ensure our road network caters for our community’s growing needs,” he said.
“We appreciate the community’s patience while we finish this important intersection upgrade which ultimately will ensure greater safety for our road users.”
The area will see the remaining landscaping works completed by mid July.
