Ambulance crews have been sent to Falcon Beach following reports of a shark attack.
The alarm was raised shortly before 4pm, with a surfer understood to have been injured.
The rescue helicopter is en route.
The City of Mandurah has been notified and the beach has been closed for one kilometre in both directions from the attack.
