A Mandurah man who knocked a teenager unconscious near Smart Street Mall in October, 2014, was fined $2500 in the local court on Friday.
Andrew John McCluskie was found guilty of assault occasioning bodily harm after trial.
The court heard McCluskie had been binge drinking on October 18 when he punched a man twice in the face.
Both blows knocked the victim to the ground, with the second knocking the 19-year-old out.
Counsel for McCluskie said her client had no recollection of the incident, and had sustained head injuries as well that evening.
Magistrate Vivien Edwards ordered the fine to paid to McCluskie’s victim.
