The Shire of Murray is looking for potential tenants to redevelop and lease the town’s heritage landmark Exchange Hotel.
Shire President Cr Reid said they aren’t looking for the highest revenue but rather proposals that that benefit the community.
The hotel is located on the banks of the Murray River and it is a popular day-trip destination.
Cr Reid said leasing the hotel is part of the effort from the Shire to revitalise Pinjarra.
She also said there will be substantial public investment in streetscape, community buildings and public spaces in the area in the next few years to attract people to the town.
The hotel lease would be for food and beverage related purposes.
The chosen proponent would start the lease on February 2017, and would be expected to deliver the development within an agreed timeframe.
Applications close on June 30.
