Nominations are now open for the Western Australian Regional Achievement & Community Awards.
The awards aim to encourage, acknowledge and pay tribute to individuals, communities, businesses and groups contributing significantly to regional and rural areas.
Nominations are open in eleven categories including teaching, innovation, community service, leadership, safety, and sustainability among others.
One of the eleven category award winners will also be selected as the Department of Regional Development Overall State Winner.
“With so many people doing great things in Mandurah, it’s important to acknowledge those who inspire us with their leadership and dedication and to celebrate the contribution they make in our local community,” City of Mandurah Mayor Marina Vergone said.
The winners will share a $24,000 prize.
Nominations close on August 3.
