A man who was clocked at more than 45km/h over the speed limit in Ravenswood last year had his licence cancelled for life in Mandurah Magistrates Court on Friday.
Ross Allan Smith pleaded guilty to the offence which happened on June 14, 2015.
The court heard Smith was driving on Kwinana Freeway at 8.41am when a speed camera caught him traveling at 158km/h.
The maximum penalty for this offence is a $12,000 fine or 12 months in prison.
Smith, who has three previous reckless driving convictions and admitted he was “stupid” for speeding, was fined $3000 and ordered to pay court costs on top of his licence disqualification.
