A 32-YEAR-OLD Mandurah man will face court and a possible seven-year prison term on March 29, charged with a $15,000 insurance fraud.
Police will allege Alexis Zarganis falsely reported to police his 1990 Toyota Landcruiser had been stolen from the verge of his home in December 2015.
Mr Zarganis then allegedly made a false claim to his insurer, receiving $15,000 as a payout.
However, on March 15 Mandurah Detectives Proactive Team raided a residential property in Dawesville and a search recovered the partly stripped 1990 Toyota Landcruiser in a rear shed.
After interviewing various people, the 32-year-old man was charged by detectives with one count of fraud.
The man faces a maximum seven-year prison term, the maximum allowed for fraud under the Criminal Code.
