A MEMBER of the Rebels bikie gang has died after losing control of his motorcycle in Lake Clifton on Saturday.
Police said the 29-year-old man had been riding on Grove Road near the intersection with Old Coast Road.
The alarm was raised by passers-by around 3.30pm but the man died at the scene before St John Ambulance arrived.
The death of the man brings the state's road toll to 44 and comes after a horror Labour Day weekend in which 11 people died.
