OLD Bunbury Road from Forrest Highway to Southern Estuary Road is now closed as a result of the bushfire east of Lake Clifton.
Smoke is also impacting Forrest Highway but at this stage it remains open.
A bushfire emergency warning is in place for people bounded by Codsford Road, Old Bunbury Road (off Dorsett Road), Southern Estuary Road, Forrest Highway and Kooljerrenup Nature Reserve, near John Tognela Rest Area on Forrest Highway, east of Lake Clifton in the Shire of Waroona.
People are in danger and need to act immediately to survive.
Properties in the vicinity of Old Coast Road and Forrest Highway are under threat of fire.
Approximately 30 bush fire service, volunteer and career fire and rescue service firefighters are on scene actively fighting the fire with aerial support assisting.
An evacuation centre has been set up at the Waroona Recreation Centre on Miller Street, Waroona.
