THE Department of Fire and Emergency Services have issued an alert for a bushfire that has reignited 15km east of Yarloop.
The fire is moving rapidly in an easterly direction, and is currently out of control and unpredictable.
The alert itself applies to Driver Forest Block in the Shire of Waroona.
The fire started near Larego Road and is burning in Driver Forest Block, bounded by Willowdale Road, Driover Road and Logue Road.
There is currently no threat to lives or homes, but there is a lot of smoke in the area.
DFES have wanred people close to the fire to monitor the DFES website in case the situation changes.
WHAT TO DO:
• Stay alert and monitor your surroundings.
• Watch for signs of a bushfire, especially smoke and flames.
• Close all doors and windows, and turn off evaporative air conditioners but keep water running through the system if possible.
• Read through your bushfire survival plan.
• If you do not have a plan decide what you will do if the situation gets worse.
IF DRIVING:
• Be extremely careful when driving through the area.
• Turn your headlights on and drive slowly.
• Watch for emergency services personnel and follow their directions.
• If you cannot see clearly, pull over, keep your headlights and hazard lights on, and wait until the smoke clears.
• If you have a respiratory condition and you have been affected by smoke you should contact your local doctor or call Health Direct on 1800 022 222.
ROAD CLOSURES:
Avoid the area and be aware of fire and other emergency services personnel working on site.

RECREATION SITE CLOSURES:
No recreation sites are closed.
WHAT FIREFIGHTERS ARE DOING:
• Department of Parks and Wildlife firefighters are actively suppressing the fire and building containment lines.
• Aerial support has been sent to assist ground crews and currently there are eight fixed winged water bombers and four helitack working on the fire.

• The fire was reported at 2pm on 9 February 2016.
• The cause of the fire is reignition.
• Parks and Wildlife is managing the fire.
