Firefighters are bracing for tough weather conditions as an out-of-control bushfire continues to burn between Harvey and Lake Preston, threatening the tiny town of Uduc.
DFES media spokesman Mark Graham told Radio 6PR on Monday morning containment lines had been set up around the fire but forecast 40-degree temperatures and winds meant firefighters were concerned about the blaze.

Heavy machinery had been used overnight to set up mineral earthbreaks around the fire, which is threatening lives and homes.
"It isn't under control - we are concerned by the weather," Mr Graham told 6PR Breakfast.
"It's the start of a heatwave and the wind direction is going to be very variable and test the boundaries of this fire.
"The Forrest Highway is a risk because of the wind directions at the moment."
An emergency warning remained in place for people in an area bound by south of Forestry Road, west of Clarke Road, north of Rodgers and Waller Roads through to Clarke Road, north of Boonilup Road, north of Pead Road and east of Forrest Highway including Uduc, Thornton Housing Estate and Myalup Lakes Estate in the Shire of Harvey.
The Department of Fire and Emergency services warned residents to act immediately to survive.
Homes in Forestry Road, Myalup Beach Road and properties surrounding the Myalup pine plantation were under potential threat from the fire.
The fire was first reported at 2.30pm Sunday and its cause is unknown but under investigation.
More than 150 firefighters were on hand fighting it, protecting houses and infrastructure.
A bushfire watch and act remains in place west of Forrest Highway between Binningup Road and Finn Road including the townsites of Myalup and Binningup.
A community meeting has been scheduled for 11am today at the Harvey Recreation Centre.
