The Shire of Murray is seeking expressions of interest for the development and use of the Exchange Hotel site as a food and beverage outlet.
An outcome is being sought that optimises public benefit through a balance of:
- Activating the site and surrounding public spaces
- Restoring and reusing the significant heritage components of the site as part of the redevelopment
- Design excellence which reflects and reinforces the character of the town
- Longer term financial return.
The Shire is seeking proposals which will deliver a balance of these desired outcomes.
“Pinjarra is currently the focus of significant revitalisation and will benefit over the next few years from substantially planned public investment in streetscapes, community buildings, public spaces and the river foreshore, all aimed at enhancing the popularity and attractiveness of the town. This site forms an integral part of this revitalisation project,” Shire chief Dean Unsworth said.
Expressions of Interest close on April 30, 2016. Following closure, submissions will be evaluated and potential proponents will be shortlisted from May – June.
Documentation will be issued to shortlisted candidates in July and the successful proponent will be appointed in December 2016.
